Our principles / Our people

Progress with
responsibility at its core.

Engineering ambition must be matched by respect for nature, communities and the standards that govern how we work.

Protecting the places
where progress happens.

Environmental and social considerations belong in the design brief, the project decision and the operating plan.

01 / Climate & efficiency

Reduce waste.
Recover value.

Our design objectives prioritise gas recovery, methane management and reduced routine flaring. Gas-to-energy remains a fossil-fuel pathway; any greenhouse-gas benefit must be measured against a credible baseline across the system.

02 / Nature & wildlife

Respect sensitive
ecosystems.

We place spill prevention, responsible waste management, habitat protection and remediation planning at the heart of our approach, particularly in lakes, deltas and shallow coastal environments.

03 / People & place

Protect communities.
Listen before acting.

Respect for Indigenous peoples, local livelihoods and wildlife is a core value. Our intended approach includes meaningful engagement, respect for land and cultural rights, and free, prior and informed consent where applicable.

Clean efficiency / Measurable intent

Capture potential.
Account for impact.

Associated-gas capture can connect well operations to useful energy. The proposed system combines recovery and conditioning with energy generation, seeking to reduce wasted gas and support more efficient operations.

We intend to assess methane leakage, combustion emissions, energy demand and local environmental conditions together. We do not claim zero-emission operation or a verified emissions reduction for technology still in development.

Business integrity

Clear principles.
Responsible decisions.

Anti-bribery & anti-corruption

Norwegian Drilling’s stated commitment is zero tolerance for bribery, corruption and facilitation payments. Our intended business approach includes risk-based third-party due diligence, transparent records, management of conflicts of interest and scrutiny of gifts, hospitality and intermediaries. Commercial pressure must never override ethical conduct.

International sanctions & export controls

We are committed to operating within applicable sanctions and export-control requirements. Any proposed activity is conditional on assessment of counterparties, beneficial ownership, end users, equipment, services, payment routes and jurisdiction-specific restrictions, together with any required licences or authorisations. A market reference on this site does not mean a transaction is authorised.

Official resources: Norwegian sanctions guidance · OFAC Venezuela-related sanctions. Requirements and authorisations can change and must be assessed for each engagement.

Environmental & social due diligence

Our approach is to identify risks before committing to a project: ecological sensitivity, well integrity, legacy contamination, waste pathways, local livelihoods and community rights. Project-specific controls, independent expertise and measurable monitoring are essential to turning these principles into practice.
